24 September - The Real Pambula Gold

Walk Coordinators: Heather Bond, Ian Bovill and Ulrike Groiss
Grade: Easy Distance: 8.1 km
Day event
Meet: 9:00am at Nethercote Road where it crosses Pipeclay Creek at Greig's Flat, 1.7km from the intersection of Nethercote Road with the Princes Highway at Yowaka River. There is a little access road and clearing on the eastern side of the creek.
Description: Walking into the goldfields and exploring the (outside of the) mines and mining equipment. Mostly on fire trails, though there will be some bush tracks and open bush. Most of the mines are easy to visit, but others (optional) will require more agility in the bush. Dry forest varies to creek vegetation.
Thanks for the video Peter Constable!
