Mt Buffalo Camp - Victoria
We are planning a BVBW camp at Mt Buffalo in November next year. Sites need to be booked (and paid for) asap as bookings are now open and can fill up quickly.
So, we need an indication of who may be interested. We realise this is a long way in advance but it’s the only way we can do it.
Each site needs to be booked separately on-line at parkstay.vic.gov.au and look for MT Buffalo. This could be done for you OR whoever is interested could book their own site. What are your thoughts?
The details
4 nights from Monday 13th November to Friday 17th November.
The campground, Lake Catani, is run by Parks Victoria and is a beautiful spot set among Snow Gum woodlands. The lake is good for swimming and canoeing etc.
The walking will be along formed NP tracks with a range of difficulty options and the scenery is spectacular. There are many walks and we haven’t as yet decided which ones we will be doing.
Sites are unpowered, some are suitable for small caravans and campervans and others for tents.
There are flush toilets, hot showers, dish washing facilities and a laundry. There is also a communal stone shelter with tables and fireplaces.
Each site costs $50 per night. Caravans would need a site each. If you are tent camping some sites can accommodate 2 tents (2 couples - making it much cheaper if you’d prefer to do it that way)
